Learner Licence Class 2 & 5

About this Course
The learner Licence course is for those that are requiring lessons to help gain their learner licence for classes 1- 5.
The course will entail road code study and practice tests where our instructors will spend time with you explaining the questions and simplifying what they mean for easier answering. Our Instructors will breakdown any info you are unsure of to help ensure understanding of road rules and any class specific questions.
This course is often the first step for some in sitting their heavy vehicle licence. You must have your learners prior to doing a heavy vehicle course
Upon successful completion of your training programme you will sent down the nearest NZTA driver licencing agency (AA or VTNZ) to sit your learner licence
Course Prerequisites
For class 1 vehicle (cars)
You must be a minimum of 16 years of age
For Heavy vehicle Licence,
Class 2
- Class 1 Driver Licence held for 6 months when sitting class 2 and have completed a transport medical on a DL9 form from your doctor
Class 3
- Class 2 full Licence held for 6 months of Under 25 years of Age or 3 months if 25 years or older and have completed a transport medical on a DL9 form from your doctor in the last 5 years
Class 5
- Class 4 full Licence held for 6 months of Under 25 years of Age or 3 months if 25 years or older and have completed a transport medical on a DL9 form from your doctor in the last 5 years
Course Outline
You will be provided study material to help with gaining your learner licence. In the study material also a copy of the questions you will need to learn. During the course you will use an online platform to practice conducting the tests on. Our instructors will spend time with you explaining anything you are unsure of so you can answer the questions with confidence. You will gain the knowledge to answer the road code without relying on resources to help you.
When sitting the actual test at an approved driver licencing agent (AA or VTNZ) you will have 30 mins to complete the test. There will be 35 questions to answer, class 1 you must get at least 32 out of the 35 correct. For classes 2 – 5 you must get at least 33 out of 35 questions correct to pass.
